Antibiograms | MUHC Antimicrobial Stewardship Program

Antibiogram Introduction

The following section presents cumulative antibiograms for bacterial pathogens of interest to the MUHC Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. These antibiograms were developed according to CLSI M39 guidelines. For some bacterial species, an antibiogram could not be generated because an insufficient number of isolates was available to meet the required criteria.

Antibiograms are stratified by site (MGH, RVH, and MNI). For RVH and MGH, ICU isolates are analysed and presented separately from inpatient units.

Screening isolates for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE), and carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales (CRE) were excluded from all analyses - antibiograms are generated using only clinical isolates.
